Magha (मघा, 'the great one' / 'the mighty') is the tenth nakshatra, the opening 13°20' of sidereal Leo, ruled by Ketu and presided over by the *Pitris* — the ancestors, the lineage-fathers who watch over their descendants. The symbol is the *royal throne* — the seat of inherited dignity, the chair the lineage prepared. The presiding star is Regulus, the heart of the Lion, the *little king*.
