The Hexagram
Hexagram 25, *Wú Wàng*, is the image of thunder rolling under heaven — action arising from the natural alignment with the moment, neither calculated nor distorted. The classical name is *Innocence* (or *The Unexpected*). The hexagram counsels: *supreme success; perseverance furthers; if someone is not as he should be, he has misfortune; it does not further him to undertake anything*. The lesson is precise: action that arises from natural alignment with what is — innocence in the I Ching sense, not naivete — succeeds. Action that arises from calculation, hidden agenda, or distortion of the real fails.
